If you see writing as a series of goals to achieve , finishing your work will be simple. Simple because the work will be organized into many small stages to arrive at. Consider the work to be written no longer as a whole, but in the small parts that compose it. Writing a novel is like building an assembly line. Set up the job Grab a pen and paper. Not a laptop or any other computing device: but the old paper and the timeless pen. They have their advantages. They do not consume energy: I use recycled paper.They don't allow distractions: on my laptop I'm tempted to download emails and check Twitter. They don't tire the eyes. You can write and draw at the same time: I draw arrows, areas in which to insert ideas and concepts quickly.
